Here at Faultline Brewery, we have four beers that will always be pouring from our taps: Kölsch, Hefeweizen, FSB (Faultline Special Bitter and Gold Rush Ale. We always also have a Stout pouring from our Nitro line but as one finishes, we have a new style of stout to replace the previous one. There are a total of 10 beers available at Faultline including our Cask Ale, but for right now, we are going to focus on our flagship four: Kölsch, Hefeweizen, FSB, and Gold Rush.

HEFEWEIZEN
ABV: 5.3%
IBUs: 14
TASTE: Unfiltered, hints of banana and clove
STYLE: Hefeweizen/bavarian wheat beer
ABV: 5.3%
IBUs: 15
Our Hefeweizen is German style. Notes of banana, clove, and other spicy flavors are derived from the authentic Bavarian yeast strain we use. American style Hefeweizens by comparison have a more neutral flavor. Its hazy yellow appearance is a classic look. 60% of the malt used is Malted Wheat which leaves some suspended proteins in the beer. Plus it is unfiltered so some yeast remains with the proteins giving it the hazy look. A small amount of hops are added just to balance the bready, malt sweetness. This results in a uniquely refreshing beer with a wonderful taste and aroma. Hefeweizen is another great option for people who do not like hoppy beer and want something fruity without getting a cocktail.

Our Hefeweizen is completely different from an American Hefeweizen.Compared to American Hefeweizens, ours tastes like a classic Bavarian beer:notes of banana, cloves, and sometimes bubblegum. Its hazy yellow is a classic part of the look. The haze is because of the flaked white wheat that we add.60% of the total malts used are flaked white wheat which suspend its proteins in the beer, giving it its hazy look. Little to no hops are added, this allows for an amazing and delicious beer with a wonderful smell, taste, and look. This is another great beer for people who do not like the flavor of beer, but like something fruity without getting a cocktail.
FAULTLINE SPECIAL BITTER
ABV: 5.7%
IBUs: 38
TASTE: Smooth with a creamy head and a bittersweet finish
STYLE: English Special Bitter (ESB)/English Amber Ale
ABV: 5.2%
IBUs: 27
This is an English style beer inspired by Fuller's ESB (Extra Special Bitter). In England most Bitters range from 3.5% to 4.5% and can be anywhere from golden to brown in color. Fuller's introduced their stronger version in 1971 and it caughton. Don't be afraid of the name. English Bitter Ales are in fact not very bitter, especially compared to an American IPA. Our FSB pours a reddish amber color. Imported English malts and fruity flavors from our English ale yeast create a luscious, medium bodied malt sweetness which then gives way to a hoppy dry aftertaste. Imported East Kent and Challenger hops give our FSB its floral and herbal hoppiness. FSB pairs will with a lot of food especially Fish and Chips for an authentic taste of England. Cheers

GOLD RUSH ALE
ABV: 5.2%
IBUs: 30
TASTE: Crispy & malty. With local, sustainably malted barley
STYLE: California Pale Ale
ABV: 4.7%
IBUs: 21
This beer can be best described as an old-school Pale Ale circa the 1990s. Most modern-day Pale Ales are more aggressively hoppy and bitter. Currently, we are featuring California-grown hops. Centennial and Cascade hop grown in the Central Valley provide a classic American Ale flavor with a unique California terroir. Some crystal malt and outhouse English Ale strains give the beer its deep golden color and lightly fruity body. The hops have the final say in the aftertaste though, with their citrus, pine, and floral flavors.

STYLE: California Pale Ale

This is a classic California Pale Ale made with 100% Californian Malt. The barley is grown in California and malted in Alameda by hand. This beer is by Californians, for Californians. Originally, we had an English Pale Ale permanently on tap, but in February of 2019, the Gold Rush replaced the Pale on a whim. Gold Rush sold significantly better than the original Pale ale. The beer itself is a California Pale Ale, malty and crispy upfront, but with a nice hop finish. Admiral Maltings malts their barley the old school way, with floor malting. They turn the barley by hand with a rake. This does make the malt more expensive, but the flavor is better, the beer is more traditional, and having it sustainably grown and malted makes it a green initiative.
