SPRING BOCK Spring Bock is known in Germany as Mai Bock (May Bock). In Northern Germany the month of May is host to festivals for Mai Bock, which rival Southern Germany's Oktoberfest. Bock beers were traditionally brewed in Winter and aged through the Summer in ice caves under the brewery. Mai Bocks were released younger than other bocks and would celebrate the warmer weather when people could once again return out doors. The beer is a light colored strong lager. The flavor is sweet and it has a fresh aroma do to the German hop addition. Bock beers are strong! FBC Spring Bock is about 6.5% alcohol. Faultline Brewing Company serves its Spring Bock in the early Spring months. Back to the Beer Index
