BROWN ALE

Brown Ale is the oldest style of European beer that is still being brewed today. Between the 15th and 18th centuries, almost any beer ordered in Europe would probably be a Brown Ale. This is due to the low-tech requirements to prepare the raw materials for the beer. FBC Brown Ale is very malty yet soft on the palate. The malty aroma is brought on by the addition of the English hop, East Kent Goldings. The low level of carbonation adds to the soft texture of the beer allowing the subtle flavor to come through. FBC Brown Ale is darker and drier than Newcastle Brown Ale (a Brown Ale most people are familiar with.) Faultline Brewing Company serves it's Brown Ale periodically through the year.
